By this, you can estimate for yourself exactly the amount of  cotton that is used yearly for other wearing apparel and household materials. Denim is consuming about half of most manufacturers cotton supply.

A denim shirt is often thought of as commercial attire used in heavy industry. However, a denim shirt can also be used in high fashion and is the longest lasting style of clothing in the history of fashion. Celebrities have also added to the popularity of denim shirts by wearing them in movies as well as in high fashion to premieres and other events. Enchanted by denim, the Americans fabricated, marketed, conventionalized and popularized the wild west culture. However, originally the material was acquired from a different country.
